Unexpected Visit

As Dd narrates in her blip today, she had an accident on the way to start her new course today. She was getting into her taxi when it drove off, right over her toes. Her big toe took the brunt of it and is bright purple as I write. She had it checked at the BC with their visiting doctor who advised an x-ray. Doaa, her closest Egyptian friend and colleague, came with us after school to a local hospital and it was all quite efficient apart from a long wait to see a doctor after the x-ray was taken. The doctor confirmed it wasn't broken but that she needed to keep it elevated as much as possible. It was the same foot as was broken two years ago and followed one of the chandelier light bulbs in our bedroom exploding into a million tiny fragments just before she left the flat for the first time. I was cleaning that up when she came back in for a cup of hot sweet tea after the shock of the taxi incident before heading back out again.
