The Coopers are Back in Town

Mrs. Cooper has been squawking at her hubby all morning.  It seems she wants to move their nest to the elm tree in our backyard.  She's been trying all the squirrel nests on for size and my little buddies are beside themselves.  In the meantime, Mr. Cooper keeps flying in and then flying to the tree where they nested last year.  But she hasn't moved for hours.  As cool as it would be to have them in our tree, I hope she doesn't get her way because we have so many small birds in our yard.  I don't think they would harm the squirrels...but you never know.  I guess we'll keep an eye on them and maybe take the feeders down if they hang around.  We have several in the front yard so the little ones can eat there where it's safer.
