Day 14: First Five Minutes of Unfettered Freedom

More extraordinarily exhilarating (to me) in large.

I was unexpectedly bestowed with two five-minute (nurse escorted) walks a day this morning, and I'm not even going to begin to try to describe how uplifting, liberating, and exciting that is.
My first accompanied amble was this afternoon, and the reaching trees that I last observed 13 days ago on my way in were my obvious first destination. Their reaching boughs are impressive, but had nothing on the sense of space and the vastness of the volume that I felt I was experiencing.
Thrilling.
