Dawson's Heights, Dulwich, South London

These iconic buildings were designed as social housing by Kate Macintosh in 1965. It was described by Th Observer as "one of thr most remarkable housing developments in the country."

This was the view from Forest Hill where my college friends, Sam and Frances and I were visiting our dear friend Asa's daughter for a lovely lunch and a catchup. Some of you will remember that Asa died nearly a year ago. It is good to remember her, her friendship and her quirkiness!

All of this trip to the far reaches of South London is made so much easier by the wonderful London Overground. I am a North London girl and this part of the world is very foreign to me.
