Camshaft calamity

Travelling back from Croydon yesterday, and 10 minutes into the journey the car started jumping and juddering and a warning light came on.   I managed to get us home eventually, by driving veeeery slowly round the M25 and up the M11, all the time wondering if I was going to stall. What a horrible experience.  Sure enough at the garage today it looks like there is a camshaft problem and a part has to be obtained and duly fitted.

Which means I'm car-less for the rest of the week.
