Yellow Orchid

We were so stuffed from all the eating of the last few days we skipped breakfast and headed off to the Orchid Paradise neat Newton Abbot.  Well it was amazing I have never seen so many different orchids some were huge and some were really small.  My favourite was this yellow one which I think looks a bit like a bearded daffodil.  It was very interesting and the entrance fee was only £2.50 but we had a 2 for 1 entry card so rally good value.

The drive home was not nice  driving through hail and heavy down bursts.  not helped by lorries just deciding to change lanes when they felt like it.

We did stop for a carvery at the Masons Arms which has recently been refurbished and  was looking better.

Unpacked and it is strange how even going away for a few days creates washing and stuff to put away.  Got a doctors appointment later to hopefully sort out my knee.
