Penguin Droppings

There are many interesting textures and shapes to be found in the rocks of the foreshore.

This section is from some beds comprising thin layers of mudstone and fine sandstone. Some layers show fossilised ripples and elsewhere the layers are pierced by fossilised wormholes.

With a little imagination, many landscapes can be found among the exposed and eroded textures.

For this blip, I made two copies. One was processed to enhance the warm colours while the other was processed to enhance the cold colours. A mask layer was added to control how they combined.

The unadulterated original is appended as an extra.
