A Brisk New Year Walk!

Happy New Year everyone!

We spent this morning snuggled down underneath our deliciously warm feather duvet, then went for a walk this afternoon in the nearby village of Brancepeth, which has a private castle and some beautiful stone houses. I think this one is particularly gorgeous and the wreath on the door only serves to make it look even prettier and more welcoming.

On our return I enjoyed a lovely cup of the wonderful hot chocolate my little sister gave me for Christmas, and wrote some letters in front of the fire as we watched 'The Spy Who Loved Me'. Tonight we're going to spend some time taking photos with the new camera, as Ben's tripod was delivered yesterday!
