Gardening

Encircling another
Seeking out the light unfurl
Symbolic of hope

Today I have planted new plants in a small bed under the kitchen window:  hydrangeas, fuschias, chatham island forget me not, renga renga lilies.  That is on the shady side and when I moved onto pulling small weeds from the brick pavers I was in the sun and needed to stop until the sun had moved around a bit more.  I spent a lovely time with the camera and this fern.  I have it from every angle but this is the one I liked the best.  Each little spiral is called a koru in Maori.    It means new life, growth, strength and peace.  It's my little solace after the atrocity in London.
