Above the fray

On the way home after a dramatic, tumultuous 4 days in London. Maybe only up here is it safe to reflect...on terror visited on the innocent...and on the funeral of a terrorist, and freedom fighter, and peacemaker - Martin McGuinness, Nelson Mandela, William Wallace...? In histories written by powers, as is the way, each a terrorist. And yet.

But murders done. Evil walking among the innocent. So, I add it to the list of experience and thoughts.

Again I had a long walk and several checkpoints to get to 3 Whitehall Place from behind Thames Ho, via T Square. A good chat with a bobby, and no direct take on Peel this time...but my business was discussions on the future of our legacy of nuclear waste. And vast expenditures and engineering to be honed and delivered. Both complex and uncomfortable. But what they are. Very glad to be home...albeit back on the ground.
