Thursday

I was all set to do loads! But it soon became apparent that it was going to be quite sunny and there was going to be much to commend a day of reading and lounging. And even doing a few lengths of the pool.
And elsewhere so much has been happening. Not all good - save us all from angry men who find a cause. And we've lost Chuck Berry, writer of some of the greatest toons, and certainly one of the worst in my ding a ling. And Martin McGuinness, man of peace, passed away. I read he'd left a widow, to which some Twitterer had added that he'd actually left several. Ouch, indeed, but there can be little doubt that his influence was ultimately a positive one. And the big news - Vera Lynn has reached one hundred years old!

Once the sun had set we headed up to Mogán to el Tomate which was the most lovely place, run by a couple of women. Salads! Calamari! And to round it off, a carajillo, once I'd remembered what it was called....
