Goodbye Mum

Well it was a sad day in the Young family as my mum passed away peacefully on Saturday the 18th of March.
Around end of August last year mum had a wee fall at her bingo and i happened to pass by as she came out of her bingo with a cut on her nose her poor eyesight meant she missed the last step but within 5 days it was like instant dementia had set in, mum had 3 carers coming in along with me and my 2 brothers taking turns at lunchtimes as no carers came at lunch, it was tough going and just after Christmas mum had a blood test done and she was to go to hospital right away as scans also showed mum had terminal lung cancer and secondry bone cancer too.
So we made sure mum got daily visits at the Western General and Ferryfield House for the remainder of that time she actually became less confused during that time which was nice as we made sure she always had company and had lots of laughs as well she was abke to celebrate her 83rd Birthday as well as becoming a great granny for the first time to my nephews new son Finlay 3 weeks befor she passed, i was able on friday 17th to tell mum one last time i loved her and thanked her for having me she said i love you too son and then she fell asleep right after our last chat then she peacefully passed away Saturday morning.

RIP Mum glad dad will be there to look after you now. And thanks for everthing you did for us boys
Love you Raymond, Alan & Mark and all your loving family
