Marching for Justice and Equality

One of the Eastside Seattle suburbs---Kirkland Wa. held a march for justice and equality today that ended at the Marina park in downtown Kirkland.  I was able to meet them at the end and take pictures...my feet don't handle pavement marching well anymore...but to be right there as the march came in was great and so many folks and signs and humor and unity...very uplifting especially coming after the inablility of the congress to repeal the ACA yesterday (aka Obama care).  While it's not perfect by any means, it still covers way more people than before it's existence and repealing it would be devastating for millions.  We do need to come together and fix our system ...I personally favor single payer universal health care like most all other industrialized nations already have.   This march today was for more than healthcare...it was for equality for all...people of color, refugees, all faiths, all inculsive...very welcoming to all.  I was glad to see the Eastside raising their voices in unity loud and clear and making this statement today!
  Extras show some interesting stats.
