Glas Tulaichean

Great to be back on the hills on a glorious day - in fact we were overdressed!.
Drove up Glenshee and over toward Glenisla, stopping at the top of the road and going up Deuchray Hill to the north, looping round back to the road and then a circular trip up Mount Blair. It was 7-8 miles and nearly 800m of climbing on mainly grassy slopes.
From Deuchray you look down on Loch Beanie (see extra) and north up Glenshee, as above. From Mount Blair you could see right across to the Glencoe area with a lot more snow on the western hills.
The downward route gave views into Caenlochan Nature Reserve, famous for its flora (2nd extra).
My legs weren't as strong going up as a few months ago but a steady plod got me there, and removing some layers also helped1
