Just look at that blue sea! We took a walk from the West side of North Berwick and headed West, this taken from a rocky rise conveniently endowed with steps on both sides, providing good views of the island and, to the East, of the Lamb, Craigleith and the Bass Rock.

Cutting across to the beach we continued, shedding layers as we progressed, as far as Archerfield, then turned inland to the Yellowcraig carpark, with its welcome facilities such as an icecream van.

On our way back we stood for a while to watch a small plane in the distance (possibly Archerfield) performing stunts - looping the loop and showing impressive manoeuvrability.

A glorious day, the car thermometer registered 18.5ºC, and this in mid March!
