Didn't quite make the bend .....

Such a sad sight seeing this car being winched up out of the Sumner Bar entry to the Estuary. The driver had missed the bend in the road and gone straight into the Estuary. Not everyone could be rescued.

It's a sad pic to Blip. I've had folk come to stay this afternoon, and as this is the only photo I've taken all day, it has to be the one.
