Young Herring Gulls

16C today, and neighbours Tim and Sue were out in their garden chatting  -  couldn't see much work being done!  I went down to the Links Pond to capture some swans  -  not a swan in sight, just these young Herring Gulls.  Probably last year's brood  - somewhere I read it can take up to four years for them to grow their adult colours.  Lots of children and dogs too.   I was quite taken by the dog in my extra  -  he seemed determined to take his owner in a particular direction.  Not sure what breed it is.  Have a nice evening everyone  -  I am going to watch 'Vera' on STV.
