Lathyrus Odoratus

Wood anemone

The spaniel and I have been for two good walks today, ten miles in the morning and another nine in the afternoon. Plenty of butterflies on the wing - brimstones, peacocks, commas and small tortoiseshells - but a bit too windy to photograph any with success. The main feature of both walks were the wood anemones (or windflowers) which had opened out in the sunshine.
