Gloucester

We have spent the day in Gloucester and enjoyed the glorious weather with a good walk around the historic docks, Maritime Museum and cathedral. G's great grandfather was a bargee back in the day and it was very interesting to find out more about their lives and how they transported chocolate crumb from the Cadburys depot near Gloucester up the canals to Bournville.The lady in my blip was demonstrating rag rugging and spider's web embroidery in the museum which was a skill used by the barge women and children.
The cathedral has some beautiful stained glass windows and the ancient cloisters featured in the Harry Potter films!
