After a great sunny day, MaggieD and I went up to the Quarry Loch with Rona. We had heard the
At there was a Smew hanging around and we hoped to see it. We were in luck! Spotted it very quickly but getting a good photo was to prove tricky. These birds are naturally shy and there are a lot of trees around the Loch making photography difficult. However we did, I think, get a few decent shots of this rare duck.
