Willow Dome

A gorgeous sunny afternoon walk at Gibside. This is a living willow dome. it reflects the Palladian Dome in the chapel at Gibside. The maze like form is based on the symmetry of an orchid flower and encourages people to contemplate and explore the space through a series of living willow tunnels passages and domes.
