One Moment in Time

Catching the Sun: Late

Sheltering in the doorway of Mrs. Fernihough's shop, we're waiting for the 38 bus. Out comes the cotton handkerchief, it's wrapped around her finger, she licks it and proceeds to clean up the leftover breakfast on my face. I can still feel it now, the damp cotton on my skin. Buffed to perfection. The memory was triggered as I looked at the image I'd captured this morning, the ewe cleaning up her newborn.

I missed the birth of this lamb by possibly 30 minutes. I've missed posting about mother's day by 1 day.  This is the perfect time to say 'Thanks, mum, for all those times you cleaned me up'. :)
