Mystery caterpillar

A rather fat caterpillar crossed my path on the way home after work. I moved it off the paving stones to a place in the direction that it was going but where it stood out less and where it was close to a three so that it could choose to go up it if that was what it wanted to do. I haven't found yet what it may turn into eventually.
