Old Tombstone, Az..........

We spent the morning and part of the afternoon in Tombstone, Az..  We watched the shoot-out at the OK Corral (reenactment).  We walked the mainstream and saw the stagecoach come and go down Main Street.  The fronts of the stores had the wooden walks to keep people out of the dirt and mud (now paved).  There was so much history there, mixed in with some touristy things, but it wasn't  all commercial.  There was a lot of history, the mining stories, the newspapers, the ranchers, the Indians....   all of which made up the story of the town that refused to die  (their slogan).  There was a beautiful Court House, preserved, with the system of laws and justice.  The mercantile, the undertakers business, the saloons and shows, the saddle makers, the stables......  all telling the story of life in the 1800"s.
