As Seen In Cups: Images of War

This is a back blip from my time in Washington DC, and visit to the Renwick Gallery.

This was a display of small porcelain cups, and each bore images from war. The one that first caught my eye has the following quote by George Orwell across it. "All the war-propaganda, all the screaming and lies and hatred, comes invariably from people who are not fighting."

If you look closely, other cups show automatic weapons, bombs, prisoners behind bars. It was a moving display.

On a brighter note, thanks for all the wonderful comments, and stars for yesterday's blip "Cloud" that also included the Sandra Cisneros poem by the same name. I do appreciate all your support and friendship expressed through blip!
