GOOD INTENTIONS

I noticed this in the Park today, for the first time. I've tried to enhance the plaque a little, but just in case you can't read it the inscription says:

"This Ash Tree was planted by Hartlepool Borough Council in support of 'National No Smoking Day' 8th March 1989"

The tree seems to have done well in the intervening 28 years, but there are still a lot of smokers in Hartlepool.
