Thatched Cottage, Glamis

You don't see too many of these around in Scotland, so was delighted to find this one (actually two homes) in Glamis.  Opposite was a very pretty floral display (see Extra), which gave them a nice outlook.

We'd been out for a drive and were trying to find a coffee stop.  No luck at our usual place in Meigle, which is closed until 7 April, so we tried the one in Glamis, but that doesn't open again until Saturday!  Back to Meigle to try a place that is new to us (and under new management too apparently).  Very pleasant, with good scones and cakes, but very weak coffee unless you pay extra for a double shot, making it an expensive treat.

Started to rain heavily, so we came home earlier than planned and of course the sun promptly came out again:-)
