Not Chatting with Oscar

This is a street sculpture near Charring Cross station in central London by artist Maggi Hambling called "A Conversation with Oscar Wilde".

Rather like sculptures integral to fountains (i.e. through which water actually spouts), this piece has a function, issuing a witty invitation to sit down and "converse" with the subject, who leans languidly on one arm, holding a cigarette in his hand.

However, as you can see from my <blip> this chap is ignoring Oscar for his mobile phone!
