Digging

We lost the patient :( Unfortunately, as happens sometimes as a Crofter, we lost a sheep (and her unborn twins) to illness. She took unwell Tuesday morning and we found her on her back, which happens quite often when sheep are so heavily pregnant. She wouldn't stand (also fairly common amongst sheep who are carrying twin lambs), but when she still wasn't standing Tuesday evening and had worsened symptoms we feared it was something worse. My mum (a more experienced Crofter than myself) diagnosed it as CCN, a viral brain disease, with a very low survival rate. Despite administering the correct treatment in the morning she was gone by the time I got home from work last night.
