Home from Home

This is Jonty making himself very much at home on his old settee that he used to commandeer. Only difference is that it is 160 miles away from Gloucester in Julia's new house. And Betty, F.M.i.L, catching up on some reading.
He really did seem right at home as did Foxy.

The difference from when we left last Sunday is amazing. The handyman, Stu, had finished tiling the walls in the bathroom, all the walls!, reworked the plumbing pipes, installed a chrome towel rail radiator and vanity unit. Just the floor tiles and grouting to go now.
Carpets are all laid, furniture has been delivered and she is making it look very homely, it's a lovely little house now that all the dirt, crud and mess has been cleared up. Stu also found a leaking pipe under the bathroom floor which is why brown patches appeared after Julia had painted the ceiling in the hall! He fixed it, really is turning out to be a reall boon.

Left home at 0900 this morning and got back at 2300. Did some jobs up there, mostly hanging pictures and mirrors (no stud walls, all drilling into brick), and also a very complex flat pack from Ikea. We hacked it though, extra of Marlane and I. Reflection of what the drawers fit into is to the left in the mirror.
