Baby buddies

These two have been good friends since they were 4 months old. They aren't in the same class at school, or the same dance class or anything but whenever they're together they connect instantly. Tonight Bobbins skipped up behind us and shouted "hiiiii!" Katie grinned at her and said "let's see if you're ticklish". Bobbins swatted at her, laughing, saying "shoo... shoo... you're like a fly!!" They both giggled a lot at this and started being a fly and a wasp, chasing, zapping each other and laughing away. Bobbins' Grandad looked quite bemused!

After dance class tonight we made an exciting discovery- the ice cream van stops just at the end of class time! Great classes, a fantastic park, an ice cream van .... it just keeps getting better! On the journey home we were irritated to discover our route home closed with a police car blocking the way. It meant we had to take a 10mile diversion and katie had already announced her desperate need for the toilet. However, the diversion took us to the edge of my sister's town so we popped in to use theirs and had a cuppa & quick chat. Crazydaisydog was on fine form and provided a great deal of entertainment. After we had left there, we saw some friends who live on the same street so we popped to say hi and got to meet their new puppy and check out their fab new extension. So, it was quite a good diversion overall!

The unplanned visits were wonderful but meant she was later home and even later to sleep as she then insisted on reading for ages. She got a bit bored and uninspired with reading thanks to school but we've persevered and she's found her enjoyment of it again. She's zooming through the worst witch books at the moment having polished off some milly molly Mandy. I love going in and finding her snuggled asleep with a book on her tummy.
