We went to Compton Verney lunchtime and had an acceptable curry for lunch. There is an exhibition the at the moment 'Creating the Countryside' with exhibits ranging from Gainsborough and Constable to Greyson Perry. After visiting that we went for a walk in the grounds and by the dome pictured. This is actually an art installation known as The Clearing on the edge of the lake where a number of workshops are being held throughout the year on survival in a world where fossil fuels have run out and the global economy has collapsed. The workshops range from making a fire and building a toilet to making mead. Further information can be found here .
