Paris Window View ...

... from the the second floor of the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie, or MEP.*  The late afternoon light was helpful.  As usual, there were a number of exhibitions--five, in fact. Unfortunately the MEP website which I linked to does not seem to have any details in English.  Even so, I'll mention only the Chinese photographer Gao Bo, who had much the largest space devoted to him--most strikingly, previous images of Tibet which he had marked and inscribed extensively with his own blood; here is a good English piece on him.  *At the bottom of the window view you see a work by Gao Bo; a pile of stones, each with a visible face on it; the title is, "Offering of the Mandala--Stones with a Thousand Faces."

While I was posting this there was a brief downpour outside--the extra shows a streetlight reflected from the roof-like tiles on the wall of the house opposite us.
