First of the tulips

I spotted these tulips in the garden yesterday and wondered if they would survive the heavy rain predicted. I'd actually forgotten that I had planted them last year. Well they did survive and I patiently waited for the rain to stop mid afternoon and capture them

I'm actually quite pleased we've had such heavy rain as I think that means the salt should have been washed off the roads and some of the older cars can head out this weekend. There's a car club meeting on Sunday which I'm keen to go to so fingers crossed the gritters don't get there first.
