Crisis Averted

Late last night in Indy, my daughter decided to fire up her computer and do some homework. Only one problem. Instead of starting, the computer displayed the flashing question mark folder of death. After a couple of tests I decided the only thing we could do was visit the Mac store when we got home.

Since the volleyball team was one and done today after losing a close one, we were on the road in time to make an appointment to get things checked out tonight. These pics tell the story.

In the diagnostics the hard drive showed up as a problem. The Mac genius suggested trying to replace the hard drive connection wire. It worked!! FYI it's a known issue and it was fixed for no charge!! Happy day!
