Old Hobart Town

Another gentle drive today from Ross , south to Hobart via the pretty historic village of Oatlands. We parked near Battery Point , an older part of the city with many heritage buildings. By 2pm we had reached Richmond, coffeed,and driven to Daisy Bank Farm where lovely Hana warmly welcomed us with a superb Pinot noir of the Pooley vineyard. Our cottage is also very old...1835, beautifully restored, refashioned sensitively and beautifully cosy.
Tomorrow morning we return to New Zealand after a super 3 week exploration of the greater part of Tasmania.
