The first bluebell

After a rather grey and breezy start it turned into another gorgeous spring day. In the morning, after processing another batch of images from MAlta, I played with the MP-E 65mm lens and photographed a declining anemone in my Mother's Day bouquet (see extra). This is a focus stack of six shots.

The anemone was going to be my Flower Friday blip, but in the afternoon Chris and I went for a walk round Castor Hanglands, where primroses, marsh marigolds (also known as mollyblobs), barren strawberry and wood anemones were all blooming, as well as this single solitary bluebell. Somehow this seemed to mark the season better...
