Out to buy a piece of wood. I really need a supply of handy pieces of wood as you never can tell when you're going to need one. And I'm no further forward, as I used the piece I needed for this particular job, but with the leftovers I fashioned a nice little shelf above the door in the shed. I should have bought two lengths.

Much later, out to a gig! No ordinary gig either, neither! No indeed, the twentieth anniversary tour of Nearly Dan, the Steely Dan tribute band. And the 40th anniversary of the release of Aja. Not that I was ever the greatest fan, but any excuse for a knees up, and a bit of that old skunk Baxter's gittar licks, eh?
