Deserted Duck

I seem to have spent the day gardening, well burning stuff at any rate. I found these duck eggs seemingly abandoned. Judging from the broken shells nearby I think something ratty has been at them. I've covered them up although They must have been pretty cold so I suspect they won't hatch.
