Tomorrow at the council we have a Free health checks (MOTs) which includes.

Cholesterol testing
Blood pressure checks
Carbon monoxide testing
Body mass index calculation

So my contribution is eating porridge instead of unhealthy stuff for breakfast and going for walks around the local park at lunch.

Last week and on Monday I was well behind our team of walkers, so I emailed a friend at the council and she recommend going to the Birmingham Running shop who specialise in fitting the right trainers. They measure your gait and measure and video your stride on a treadmill which highlighted I needed a trainer with more support. So now with my £85 trainers and £11 twin skin socks, it was like walking on air around the park, I finished in front and we did over two and a half miles.
