I've Got My Eye on You!

When I went out to fill the bird feeder this small Red Squirrel darted across the yard, and stood near the entrance to "home", where s/he watched me from this safe vantage point. 

We went for a drive this afternoon and came upon a cluster of daffodils nestled around a fire hydrant. Hydrants are an anomaly in a rural area where everyone has a well and no city water exists. I put this image in the extra. The sunset was magnificent this evening and went on and on in glorious pink, blue and mauve hues. The second extra is the colored sky as seen through firs and the not-quite-leafed-out oaks.
