An Avid Lensman

Where the heck did this lot come from????

I walked through this landscape at 4 a.m. (the morning, as in night - as you do) and there was nothing!

Mind you, there was no moon so couldn't really see bu88er all, anyway! Took a couple of long exposure night shots but the stars kept getting hidden by increasing cloud.

Was on my way on The Clarendon Way, which is the old pilgrim's route between Salisbury and Winchester cathedrals, up through the privately owned Clarendon Estate and past Clarendon Palace (ruins of), which was part of the largest Royal deer park in England, during the 13th century. The ruins are accessible for free (miles from nearest carpark) but are guarded by a team of quite concerned looking alpacas! (Big ones they are too...)

Unfortunately, sunrise went a bit lame, with that unexpected cloud, but I walked further along the Path, returning just short of Pitton and as the sun finally emerged, YELLOW appeared!

Just a few days ago, there was hardly any flowers at all, in a different part of the world. In a month's time we'll be sick to death of everybody posting rapeseed pictures....

I desperately NEED  a bath now - really muddy in places and quite a cold wind, especially when the sun had gone in. Walk was about 10 or 11 miles, with tripod in tow (admittedly the neat BeFree).

Happy Sunday, all.
