Beaten

Around this time last year we took Oliver and his Grampy to Wembley to see Oxford play in the Johnson's Paint Trophy only to lose. Well they made it to the final again this year, and were up against Coventry City. The pre match feeling was that Oxford had a good chance. Coventry are nailed to the bottom of League 1 and Oxford are mid table, so Oliver was rather confident.

His confidence was somewhat misjudged. Unfortunately Oxford didn't play as well as Coventry (and more importantly didn't score more goals than them).

A good day out though. A crowd of 74,400 was very good (Oxford get 12,000 on a good day at their home ground) so it was a huge event.
