A View of a Smew.

After a busy morning, MaggieD and I took Rona up to the Quarry Loch near Blair Drummond. We hoped to spot the rare smew again and so we did. The wee duck stayed quite well out in the middle hence the far away view.
On the smaller pond, we also spotted that solitary Long Tailed Duck. (See today's extra) this is another small duck and it seems to be quite happy dodging about with the Tufted Ducks.
The track to the smaller pond was a bit - very! - muddy and poor Rona looked as if she was wearing long brown wellies!
A double washing of the paws was required when we returned home.!
