Short-eared Owl

A stroll on the beach at Linaclete and then whilst driving back home this owl ghosted alongside the road for a while, so low it is partly hidden in the long grass of the verge. Similar to the Wheatear these owls are harbingers of spring here.
Didn't see the Polar Bear the press have been talking about all day....
