Massive Earthquake in Costa Rica today - 7.6 degrees on the Richter Scale. The 2 minutes of trembling felt like an eternity, according to those who felt it.

The epicentre was really close to where I spent Easter. A tsunami warning was promptly issued, but thankfully it's been cancelled, without anything happening.

Even in the capital, San, José, CCTV images give an idea of the tremor's power.

Volcanoes are prominent on Costa Rica's emblem - and seismic activity isn't uncommon - but 'historic' events like today's do make you wonder what could come next...
