In My World

Domination

When speaking to people who live outside of the Tweed area, yet have been here on a visit, the first landmark they mention is Mount Warning.

It's not the beautiful beaches, or the Lazerbeam Lighthouse, the fields and fields of sugarcane growing, or even the warm climate all year 'round that springs to mind; no, it's Mount Warning.

This extinct volcano dominates the scenery of the entire Tweed area, popping its head up in the most unlikely places.

My blip today is the Tweed River, showing the bridge which links the northern and southern areas of the town of Tweed Heads together.

And there you can see, peeking out above the bridge, is Mount Warning.
