'Boris' bikes in Milton Keynes

I had to head over to the library this afternoon to be filmed talking about one of the modules I work on. It was the first time I've seen these new additions to the OU campus. They're not actually 'Boris' bikes of course, but having got so used to seeing them in London, where they were first introduced by the Etonian wideboy, I can't help thinking of them as such. WIth Milton Keynes Station four miles away by virtually continuous cycle paths, it's a real shame that St Albans isn't on the train line to Milton Keynes. If it was, I would definitely incorporate the bikes into my travel plans, especially when the weather is as lovely as it's been today.
