Waxing April Moon

Usual sleep problems last night so took to Moon-gazing. This shot was taken at 00.15 this morning  -  a clear sky after a mainly cloudy night.  April’s Full Moon, the Full Pink Moon, according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, heralds the appearance of the moss pink, or wild ground phlox—one of the first spring flowers. It is also known as the Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and the Fish Moon.  You can read all about it HERE!  A great page if you're a keen gardener!  I don't know why my camera details haven't registered but here they are: Nikon Coolpix P900, f/6.5, 1/320 secs, ISO-400, 571mm.
