This is Ruth's 9 year old daughter and I looking at a bird of prey that had just flown up onto the telegraph pole.  She's a great climber, can tie herself on, and manages to get all the gear out when seconding.

The weather started off being cold and windy, but by the time Ruth and I had lead a couple of routes each the sun came out and our coats and fleeces were removed.  We finished by bouldering for a while, although to me it seemed that it was just soloing short routes with a crashmat... but then I haven't done any bouldering outside.  Anyway it was good fun!
